CSL is solely reliant on donations and works hard to maintain excellent relations with donors and partners. This is evident in some of the long term partnerships and funding we have received and continue to receive from international and local donors. Special mention must be made about the Luangwa Conservation Community Fund. In 2010, the idea of a Luangwa Conservation Community Fund was conceived by Andy Hogg from Mfuwe Lodge and the Bush Camp Company, and an insightful group of photographic tour operators in South Luangwa. These dedicated and passionate people had a long term vision of sustainably funding the activities of the South Luangwa Conservation Society and Project Luangwa. They realized that without the wildlife and habitat in Luangwa, they would have no business and a special place would be lost. They also understood that without involving local communities and focusing on education, there would be no hope of protecting Luangwa’s amazing wildlife in future years. Over the past six years generous funding from these operators and their valued clients through the Luangwa Conservation Community Fund (LCCF) ensures that CLS is able to run its programs effectively. The fund now covers one quarter of our annual budget, an impressive feat after just six years. A fee of $10 on rates over $300, $5 on rates under $299, $2 for room only and $1 for camping has been implemented by the following operators; Mfuwe Lodge and the Bush Camp Company, Flatdogs Camp, Shenton Safaris, Croc Valley Camp, Kafunta River Lodge, Robin Pope Safaris, Remote Africa Safaris, Norman Carr Safaris and Lion Camp.
In 2015, a staggering $137,778 was raised for CSL through LCCF. This support came directly from tourists visiting Luangwa and contributing towards the fund.

In addition to the LCCF, CSL’s operations rely completely on grants and donations. Although impossible to mention everyone, it is important to recognize the many years of support from so many donors and partners and we are truly indebted to each and every one of you, the logos below are in no particular order.
