Martin Aveling (Mart) has been a DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year finalist more times than anyone. He coined the phrase ‘wildlife artivism’ to encourage stronger calls to action in the field of wildlife art, and in recognition of this, was awarded the inaugural David Shepherd Art of Survival award in 2021. He is a global ambassador for Derwent Pencils and provided the artwork for their pastel pencil range, his favourite medium for 25 years. Most recently, Mart has been working in collaboration with his two-year-old daughter, Marella, combining her instinctive mark-making with his 40 plus years of refined pencil technique.

Mart and Marella are donating 50% from the sale of this artwork. If you would like to buy it, please email Mart at martin.aveling@gmail.com.
